When I teach workshops, I end the weekend with a design session, everyone takes everything they've learned, all the supplies available and designs a yarn, this is the yarn I spun this past weekend as my awesome students spun theirs. I started with 2 different but matching carded batts, some handpainted merino fiber, some hot pink soft kid mohair, some dyed locks, some shiney turquoise wrap, and ... I'm sure some other stuff. It's spun so it shouldn't really stripe but rather change frequently, with each stich. Some places are corespun, tornado'ed, wrapped, auto-wrapped. There's locks trapped, tiny circles, coils, cocoons. It's a purple babble!
