All my fiber is from small, humane, no-kill farms or sanctuaries. I usually buy it raw, have it washed and processed into top.
Right now, I have 2 types of wool, one is a cross between Lincoln and merino, and the other is straight merino. They are all dyed with acid dyes, washed, hung to dry, and stored in a non-smoking house by a girl that wears no perfumes (though my spinning room does smell like chamomile.
The cross blend is mid-grade softness with a nice sheen and super easy to spin. It's pretty durable and doesn't pill readily when knit. I use it for next to skin, but someone more sensitive, maybe not. When I spin hat kits, I don't use it around the face.
The merino is, well, merino. It's rarer for me to get as my humane sources don't have many (if you know of a humane source, let me know!). It's super soft, a bit harder to spin, less durable and more likely to pill when spun/knit loose.
Until I get a shop for roving set up, the description and button for each 4+ oz. braid (both cross and merino) is below the picture of it. If there's more than one available, just change the number in your cart!
