Offending the 80s

There is it folks! The brand new car! The knitting magnet has to go along the side because, if the laws of physics and attraction can be trusted, the 2006 prius has no metal surfaces on the back face of the vehicle. It was a hard decision which side to put the magnet on. I finally decided on the passenger side so random strangers on the highway can feel the knitting camaraderie (albeit briefly) as I zoom past them still getting 60 miles per gallon! I've knitting pride, dammit, and I don't care who knows.

I'm halfway through the left front of the hoodie. It's like I'm an unofficial olympian, without the pressure or the sparkly outfits, oh wait, I am wearing a sparkly outfit! I'm also planning on starting another sweater-type thing soon. It's something I'd once have found so heinous that I'm about to pee I'm so thrilled to knit it! I'm doing it with a class at my lys. What is it? A side-to-sode cocoon! Picture that! I've decided mine's going to be big, fluffy green mohair with random-ass stripes of kinda-matching homespun, knit cuff to cuff, slight curve to the sides, a bit longer in the back, front falling an inch or 2 below my beltline, big honkin' cocoon sleeves -- it'll be like it'll be like I'm going back to the 80s and offending both kirstie ally and cindy lauper! I can't wait for my big comfy affront to fashion! And to your right is the leaning tower of yarn that's gonna make it all possible. I think I'll spin one more yarn to stripe, maybe a fading dark to light green with beads? Oh, can you feel the sweet pain of sucha a thing!?!
