Happy Birthday Little Bit

My Little Bit is getting bigger every day. On Monday he turned the big FOUR! Four! I can hardly believe that he's been whoopin' it up with us for four years now. WOW. He's truly the coolest, kindest, cleverest kid ever. I can't imagine my life without him. I've taken to sneaking in and snuggling with him in the middle of the night, he's so sweet and delicious. He smells like maple syrup. Man I wish they made kid sized bottles! I'd keep him just this size, shape, and temperment forever. Except then I wouldn't see what an amazing man he grows into.

His words of wisdom for everyone on his birthday:

how to drink soymilk from a straw --
first, make a face like a kiss...then suck...mmmmm...the end.

The picture is of him with his rockin' new drumset. It's since been moved to my spinning room so he can play while I spin my requisite hour a day. Do you think my yarns will be affected by such a cacophonous ruckus? I hope so.

In other news, and delivered in a short-on-time-but-long-on-subject list type thing --

--I've got more FOs (the things I completed for Winter holiday presents) to post. Someday.

--I've got a lovely picture of a insubordiknit FO from one of my dear customers...Soon.

- I need to let you all marvel at the amazingness of my SP! She sooo rocked and I've been a heel to not post pics of the stuff she sent, but I've eaten everything and the yarn's already being allocated. You'll get pics of those projects and she'll get the recognition she deserves as they come along. Thanks so much Jamie! You're the best, forgive me for not saying so sooner and louder.

- Yarn. I all but sold out in a day and a half! I can't believe it. Really. I'm humbled and happy and about 4 other h-words. My customers are the absolute best! 80% of my yarns go to people that have already bought from me and that makes me feel better than eating a whole tub of susan's coconut sorbet (but not that much better, that stuff is GOOOOOD). If you want to see some more of my yarns and my shop is peppered with those lovely sold signs, head on over t Kpixie. There are 2 sassy all vegan yarns (I am soy and shining in the dark), Autumn twist is a winner, I can't believe it's still sitting there after 3 days, it's lovely autumn colors with blues coiled stripes and felted nubs the color of falling leaves. Ohh, and there's Spike's poof, which is soo soft and and squishy, and just lovely with it's mohair wrapping. It's a bulky one though, very. Much like the fuzzed corespun yearling mohair(blinded) I showed that to my LYS and I had to pry it from her sweet little hands, it was already set to be shipped to Kpixie. Look at that, part of the draw to have my yarns on that lovely site is that I don't have to do all the picture taking and description writing, but I just can't help it. I love my yarns so much I just havta talk about them. heh.

- And if you read this far, as a little reward, here's a picture of me on New Year's Eve. Check that sexy dress. Bill's gracious sister sent it to me and though the slit just shy of the crotch was a bit scary, I wore it with a smile, but I left my crotchless skivs at home.

Happy Birthday to the boy! He's quite the little man. My son has a drumset and I love spinning/knitting to the beat!

The dress is very, very sexy. Hard to tell if the tats are part of the dress or the dress is one big tat.....just gorgeous.

Wow and Wow. Your son is an inspiration. Maybe there is some hope left. getting older can make you a little cynical. the second wow is for that dress. You are a walking piece of art. I refuse to be frumpy in my middle age but I think the days of high slit dresses are behind me.

I am sending you a package tomorrow of odd bits you might be able to spin in. My friend and I knit foo-foo dog collars we donate to a local homeless puppy and kitten shelter to help them raise money. We had some interesting odd bits plus a few from a couple recent fo's. She got a digital camera for the holidays which should make sending you pictures of fos easier for me so watch for pictures in the future.

Happy Birthday LB!
I dream of the day I'll get a drumset for my lil guy. He's 2 so all we do now is torture the nice guys at George's Music with our awesome drum solos.
