Camp rocks and hello-Ween

Camp rocked my my hand knitted socks! Really, so freakin' amazing and wonderful and slightly crazy. I couldn't have asked for a better group of spinners with whom to be sequestered in a barn. Diverse in all ways -- age, ethnicity, background, class, style, sane-ness. I learned so much just being there. Lexi was about the cutest damn thing I've ever seen, with her sassy 6month pregnant belly in size 5 pants and her shaggy little hair-do, almost made me wanna grow mine out (almost but not quite, as I told gavin, fuck you and your male beauty standards!) Jenny Neutron was just as adorable. Damn, they make 'em cute and sweet in California.

As for what I did and learned. I'd say, I probably knew technically how to do just about everything we did, except, and this is a big sexy except, the carding. Sid V (my hot-as-hell carder) never had it so good and I've never had it so rough and tumble. Crazy is not a strong enough word for the carding we did. Crazy like a fox, maybe. Truely. My yarns (to the right) have easter grass and shreds from silk skivies, if your more supa sacrilegious than that, meet me in the alley and tell me your secrets, buddy. Oh yeah, real quick while I'm talking about sacreligious hubbub, the Little Bit and I were rollerblading today and he turns to me and says do jesus's people like to call him 'geez' for short. Heh.

And in case you thought I was all normal, just to prove that I take crazy with me everywhere I go, here's one of the only pictures of me at camp. Yikes. I'm scary, no wonder people think I'm intimidating and intense.

And because I don't wanna wait too long past the hell-o-ween, here's a pic of the family before we took Little Bit out for some good old fashion just take the candy and we'll get rid of it later fun. Yep, B-ill and I are employing the we're just not ourselves costuming technique (though I do thing I'm a bit Cyndi Lauperish, though you wouldn't get that without seeing my petticoat and leggings), but the Little Bit's homemade dragon costume is fly.

Little Bit is so wise - and scary! I wouldn't want to come across him in a dark cave.

I'd be a-feared of you! Well, that is until I realized you were just as a-feared of me *g*
