Isn't she lovely?
Here's the yarn spun from the roving in the previous post. I'm so pleased I could pee. Take a closer look, like always, you can click for a bigger pic! It's 190 yrds and fairly even with no very thin or thick places! That's not to say it doesn't get thinner and thicker, like any good woman, it does tend to fluctuate, but like any good guy, I appreciate that.
I spun 2 bobbins full and since I wanted it to have an over-all orange color, I decided to ply the 2 bobbins together so that any color changes would be gradual and subtle. Damn, it's days like this that the dry hands and the late nights are worth it!
Now to see how it knits up. This will be my first sweater that has an actual neck! Maybe it'll be done in time for summer solstice - ha!
