'Cause I don't have enough to do already
Like many long-time knitters I thought I might like to learn to spin. After a less than brilliant but totally enthralling hour long class at my #2 lys, I decided the smart thing to do would be to get my own wheel, in the long run I'd be saving money on yarn, right?!? So I gathered my meager resources -- read, money -- and e-bayed wheels.
Seven days later, upon my arrival back from my mom's with Little Bit in his newly finished sweater, my Louet S-10 arrived in all of it's smokin' goodness. I say smokin', not in the cool-as-shit kinda way, I say it in the I-had-to-air-it-on-the-porch-for-days kinda way. The 2 oz of scratchy fiber they sent? Forgetaboutit, too smoky to save.
LYS #2 supplied me with the brown sheep roving, Little Bit supplied the kool aid color and the expertise is roving dyeing and behold my first yarn in all it's thick and thin splendor!
maybe I'll knit a scarf. heh.
